Governance and Board

EORN is governed by a board of directors established by the Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus (EOWC), the Eastern Ontario Mayors’ Caucus (EOMC), and public membership. The board provides strategic direction and oversight, guiding EORN in advancing its principles and achieving its goals. This governance structure ensures that EORN remains accountable to the elected officials within eastern Ontario. To support transparency and public accountability, EORN also publishes its financial statements annually.

An independent firm audits EORN's finances annually. The results of the audit are reported to the EORN audit and finance committee, are reviewed and approved by the EORN board of directors and are presented to the EOWC board of directors.

EORN's board is comprised of representatives from municipal governments within eastern Ontario as well as private citizens.
